The individual: In particular you will need: excellent verbal and written communication skills; be capable of managing a high volume of varied activities accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and to prioritise tasks productively. You have previous experience in word processing/audio skills and a high standard of literacy. You will possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the practice. Your ability to remain focused and continue to work professionally in a busy environment is essential.

The practice: benjamin+beauchamp architects limited was founded in September 2007. The team has grown to a staff of approximately twenty making it one of the larger practices in the county of Somerset. We have wide ranging experience in working on listed and historic buildings and new buildings within historic settings. Our team of skilled and qualified architects have all spent many years training and learning through experience and the practice now looks after a number of churches, houses and other historic monuments of regional and national importance. We have a reputation for work of high quality and sensitive design. Our desire to set high standards runs through all of our work including drawings, reports and the manner in which we present ourselves to the public. We are a close-knit team based in the centre of the Somerset village of Wedmore.
Key responsibilities within this Administrative role will include:
§ High level of copy and audio typing
§ Formatting and preparation of letters/reports/spreadsheets etc
§ Receptionist duties, front of house contact
§ Incoming calls
§ Incoming and outgoing post
§ General office filing/Set up of new client files
§ Photocopying/scanning of documents
§ Printing and collating large format drawings
§ Archiving files
