Lady Chapel
Dublin
Rebuilt in 1865 the Lady Chapel was previously screened and not generally open to the public. Repair and conservation of all surfaces including ceilings, internal and external faces of the windows, walls and floors returned the interior to former splendor. This allowed reorganisation of the Cathedral around the east end by reopening the ambulatory walk allowing the public and worshipers full access.
Following site trials work started on site autumn 2012 and continued until July 2013. Work commenced in parallel on removing paint from masonry with Strip Away and cleaning masonry and monuments with Arte Mundt. Conservation cleaning of the stained glass windows carried on throughout.
