Numberonebruton and Osip
hotel and restaurant
numberonebruton and Osip form a hotel and restaurant converted from a Grade II Listed Georgian Townhouse in the heart of Somerset. The original building was operated as a hardware store for almost 200 years before becoming redundant and has now been converted into a twelve bedroom boutique hotel with Osip, a farm to table restaurant, on its ground floor.
The buildings themselves were in a very poor state of repair and have been carefully restored to bring its appearance back to its former glory. Inappropriate extensions and alterations have been removed and new interventions expressed in a modern style to truly reflect the development of the building.
The interiors have been designed to enjoy a quality of the original architecture and we have worked closely with the owners, Claudia and Aled, and interior designers Frank and Faber to provide uniquely designed spaces and bedroom suites ranging from grand Georgian within the original building to more rustic and minimal within the forge and Cottage outbuildings. The various buildings are clustered around a small courtyard garden designed in collaboration with Penelope Hobhouse.
