We were commissioned to replace an infant school and a junior school, on separate sites, with an 11 classroom primary school. This new school, set in a tight urban site, includes a sports hall, dance studio, play courts and an all weather surface sports pitch. The building uses traditional materials and forms to fit in with its surroundings. Sustainable technologies are included in the design, including a system for harvesting rainwater for reuse in school toilets and photovoltaic roof tiles to generate electricity.
