In 2008 we helped to secure a grant from English Heritage for works to these structures listed on the EH ‘at risk’ register.
The works have comprised the stabilisaton of the masonry to prevent their collapse and the conservation of the stonework. Decaying clunch and purbeck marble surfaces have been micropinned, ager traps filled, the stonework sheltercoated and local trials have been undertaken using Calosil’s nanolime consolidant.
